Avengers Concept Art Shows Alternate Designs for the Infinity Gauntlet

Avengers: Endgame may be coming out later this year, but it could be a while before we get any new promo material for the movie. The movie was said to have almost been called Infinity Gauntlet, and just recently we got some alternate designs for the Gauntlet via concept artist Anthony Francisco.

Check them out:

While the Gauntlet pretty much looks like a giant ancient glove, I'm really liking these more futuristic designs. You could even say that may look like something Tony Stark came up with.

When it comes to the design that the movie stuck with, I'm guessing they were just trying to keep to the continuity. After all, we've already seen the Gauntlet way back in Avengers: Age of Ultron, even earlier if you count the small cameo in the first Thor film—then again, that was already retconned by Hela in Thor: Ragnarok.

After Thanos' Decimation, the Gauntlet had looked severely damaged, but that doesn't mean that it isn't functional anymore. After all, Thanos was still able to use it to teleport and heal himself after the snap. We don't know the Gauntlet's function in Endgame will be but granted it was almost the title of the film, it must be important in one way or another.

For now, it looks like Marvel Studios will be focusing on the release of Captain Marvel in March. After that, it's smooth sailing to the release of Avengers: Endgame. Catch the movie when it comes out April 26.
