Avengers 4 Rumor: We Could Be Getting a Five-Year Time Jump

As we wait for the official Avengers 4 trailer and title, which mark Ruffalo almost got himself fired for, fans have been busy coming up with fan theories for, what could be, the final Avengers film. Based on set photos and the events that occurred during Infinity War and Ant-Man and The Wasp, time travel has been a very popular theory amongst the fandom.

It looks like time jumps will be a big part of that as well since the latest rumor surrounding the latest MCU installment has suggested that Avengers 4 will take place five years after Infinity War.

Notorious Twitter user and rumor spreader Daniel RPK claims that the latest film will take place years after the last installment, not months like most people were hoping. When pressed by fans on how many years, the tipster claimed that it would be five. Daniel has had some hits and misses in the past so fans may want to take this with a grain of salt.

Still, there's no denying that the setting would be very fascinating if it took place five years after Infinity War. This could lead to a massive status quo for these characters before whatever brings these characters back to life ends up happening. It takes a page out of comic books from Marvel, for better or worse.

Plus, Ant-Man is stuck in the Quantum Realm and could end up in one of the time spheres he was told to avoid by Janet Van Dyne before she, Hank Pym, and Hope turned into dust. Could Ant-Man jump five years into the future and maybe even help them go back in time? It sure is something to think about.

Avengers 4 comes out on May 3, 2019.
