Avengers 4 Rumor Says (Spoiler) Will Mourn The Death Of (Spoiler)

Warning: This article contains spoilers for Avengers: Infinity War and potential spoilers for its sequel, Avengers 4.

The Avengers might have tried their best to stop Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, but at the end of the film, the Mad Titan managed to gather all six Infinity Stones and wipe out half of the universe.

However, with so many members of the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy gone, fans believe that Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and the rest of those left alive are going to be able to undo Thanos' massacre – at a price.

According to a post on Marvel Studios Spoilers Reddit, a leak from a "reliable source" says that Iron Man is going to have to pay the ultimate price to bring back the ones who disappeared because of Thanos' terrifying finger-snap.

"Set after AVENGERS 4. Peter is revived, and it appears Tony Stark will indeed die and Peter will be mourning his death," AHarbingerOfStuff writes.

Spider-Man (Tom Holland) had one of the most heartbreaking moments in Infinity War. One of the unlucky ones who became victim to Thanos' massacre, Peter Parker looked to Tony, telling his mentor that he didn't want to go.

If the rumor that Tony dies is true, then seeing Peter mourn his death would even be more painful for the Marvel fanbase. Tony was hoping that he'd have children with Pepper Pots someday, and to see the Avenger go without even having a chance to have a child of his own will be heartbreaking.

Avengers: Infinity War is currently screening in cinemas.
