Avengers 4: Chris Evans Posts Heartbreaking Message About Finishing His Final Film For The MCU

It looks like Chris Evans just finished wrapping up his reshoots for Avengers 4 today, and fans are freaking out over the Marvel star's goodbye message online.

Evans has been in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for such a long time now, making his debut in Captain America: The First Avenger back in 2011. However, all good things must come to an end. Evans' contract with Marvel is set to end with Avengers 4 and now that the actor's done with his scenes in the second installment in Marvel's two-part Avengers movie, that means his time in the MCU is over.

Of course, fans will still get to see the First Avenger making the promotional rounds for Avengers 4, but essentially the actor just completed his final Marvel film, and Evans makes sure to say his goodbyes to all his fans online.

Check out his tweet celebrating the end of his work on the reshoots for Avengers 4:

It's a pretty tender tweet. Unfortunately, for some the heartfelt message was too much to bear, knowing that Evans would no longer appear in any other Marvel film after the sequel to Avengers: Infinity War.

That, and the very strong possibility that Avengers 4 would also mark the end for Captain America himself. There can't be a Captain America without Chris Evans, and fans know that undoing Thanos' bloody massacre in Avengers 4 will have to come at a cost. Though we're not sure what that cost might be yet, fans expect Cap to sacrifice his life to bring back everyone else in the movie. Yep, that's probably what Cap would do.

Avengers 4 hits cinemas May 3, 2019.
