Arrow Star Stephen Amell Reacts To Oliver Queen Possibly Getting DCEU Film

There is little doubt that Arrow is doing quite well on its own. After all, the seventh season of the CW series is about to premiere. But is there any chance that Oliver Queen might actually cross over to the big screen? Stephen Amell has an interesting response to the possibility of starring in a DC Extended Universe film.

Amell recently answered questions on Facebook Live where he was asked if a Green Arrow movie will be made in the future. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows star gave a rather obvious answer.

"No, because we're still shooting the show," Amell explained. He then began offering an alternative response starting with, "I will say, though, that..." then decided not to continue. "No, I won't say that," he said.

It's an interesting answer considering what Amell almost revealed. Is it possible that he has been approached with the option of taking his character to the big screen? There are speculations that DCEU would want to replicate Arrow's success by giving Oliver his own movie. However, the complications of how the Arrowverse works compared to the Warner Bros. films might be too confusing for fans.

Although it's unlikely that Oliver will cross over into a DCEU movie, Amell has other major projects to think about. He has already completed work on the sci-fi action flick Code 8, which is based on the short film he worked on with his cousin and fellow Arrowverse star Robbie Amell. Code 8 is expected to premiere in 2019.

Amell returns in Arrow Season 7, which will air on The CW on October 15.
