Last year, we learned that Marvel Studios is redeveloping Armor Wars into a feature film. The project, which was originally conceived as a six-episode series, is set to be the long-overdue solo movie of Don Cheadle's James Rhodes.

So far, the exact plot details regarding the film remain under wraps except for the basic premiere that Rhodey will face Tony Stark’s worst fears of having his technology fall into the wrong hands.

We also know that the film will be tied into the current series Secret Invasion which features Rhodey in a supporting role although it is unknown yet what story connections the two projects have.

Now, a new report laid out some of the alleged details surrounding the project including the return of a recurring Phase Four and Five character.

A recent report from The Cosmic Circus shared some of the alleged plot details surrounding Armor Wars including the return of the MCU characters who have appeared in past projects.

According to the scoop, the Department of Damage Control (DODC) is the government agency responsible for possessing Tony Stark's technology as they decide to take action into its own hands regarding the rise of enhanced individuals over the past several years.

The mastermind behind all of it is apparently Valentina "Val" Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), who we last saw in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and is set to be one of the main characters in Thunderbolts.

In addition, they claimed that the film will also bring back Iron Man 2 villain Justin Hammer with Sam Rockwell reprising the role. Val will hire him to develop a new team of Iron Men for the DODC.

Rhodey is also expected to have his own team of alliances during the film and the report claimed that Dominique Thorne's Riri Williams, who made her MCU debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and is set to star in her upcoming solo series Ironheart, is likely part of the group.

It should be pointed out, however, that this news has not been confirmed yet by Marvel Studios although it came from a reliable source that reported accurate scoops in the past.

Considering that Val is heavily involved in the affairs of the US government, especially with her position as the CIA Director, it's not surprising to hear that she'll be part of Armor Wars and it is the kind of project that the character certainly fits in the world of the MCU.

Since the film is still in development at the moment, it might take a while before we'll hear any definitive updates about the project, but this alleged scoop sounds promising since it fits the mold of what the MCU has been trying to do recently.
