Aquaman star Amber Heard continues to be one of the most controversial actresses in Hollywood at the moment, after evidence of her mocking ex-husband Johnny Depp about how she abused him. It's horrific stuff and no one really knows who to side with since there still seems to be some evidence that Depp hurt her as well. Either way, no one is looking at these two too kindly and it looks like Heard could be losing this battle since she lost her lawyers.
CinemaBlend reports that Heard's lawyers from previous battles wouldn't be at her side due to "travel and logistics" becoming "more costly." This is surprising since Roberta Kaplan was one of the founders of the Time's Up movement so the fact that she's dropping out has everyone talking. Amber Heard will now use the local council in Virginia.
For his part, Johnny Depp's lawyers said the following: "Ms. Heard's lawyers, one of whom co-founded the #TimesUp Legal Defense Fund, have now apparently unhitched from Ms. Heard's long-disproven frauds. We intend to discover why."
It will be interesting to see how this story develops since Heard is no longer the beacon of hope many thought she was a few years ago. A lot of people thought she was making great strides into speaking out against abuse, which is still really hard to do. People inspired by Heard have nothing to be ashamed of but they should question and confront what's going on.
Due to all this, it's not yet known if Amber Heard will return to Aquaman 2.
