Ant-Man and The Wasp's Laurence Fishburne isn't Sure if DC Wants Him Back as Perry White

Laurence Fishburne has always been a fan-favorite actor, whether he was in The Matrix or John Wick: Chapter 2 viewers enjoy seeing him add to a movie. His most recent appearance was in Ant-Man and The Wasp, where he plays as scientist Bill Foster, who comic book fans know as Goliath.

It turns out that he also declined a role in last year's Justice League, which Fishburne thinks cost him his role as Perry White.

Speaking with Den of Geek, Fishburne revealed that he turned down a spot to reprise his role as the Daily Globe's editor-in-chief, which he didn't realize was Justice League at the time. The actor hopes this isn't the end of his time in DC since he enjoyed working with Zack Snyder but isn't positive about a possible return.

"I don't think I'm still on call. I was unfortunately unable to go do some work on what turned out to be the Justice League movie. I don't know that I need to go back or if they'll have me back or not, but I was grateful to have been a part of it. I loved working with Zack (Snyder), I think he makes an incredible superhero movie. I'm just excited to be a part of this (the MCU) now."

When asked about a possible Man of Steel 2, the Morpheus actor revealed that he has no clue if that's going to be made. Some rumors have floated around about it, with Kingsman director Matthew Vaughn confirming that he was in talks to direct the sequel.

"I don't. I don't. I haven't heard anything about it. They just fell behind the eight-ball. I really wish they had started 20 years ago. But that's all right, they're where they are."

Fishburne possibly not returning to a Man of Steel sequel would be disappointing since he did a good job in the first movie and Batman V Superman. Even if he doesn't come back, he at least has his Bill Foster role.

Ant-Man and The Wasp is in theaters now.
