Ant-Man and The Wasp Critics TV Spot Calls It 'Marvel's Funniest Film'

Marvel's Ant-Man and The Wasp will be released in theaters this weekend, and Marvel Studios has released a new TV spot to highlight the praises from critics.

As you can see in the TV spot above, Ant-Man and The Wasp is being called "Marvel's funniest film". Cinemablend calls it an "incredibly fun ride". The film is Ceritified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with 86% on the Tomatometer. Its critical consension reads: ​"A lighter, brighter superhero movie powered by the effortless charisma of Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly, Ant-Man and The Wasp offers a much-needed MCU palate cleanser." It looks like the film will also pack some fun surprises. I can't wait to see it this weekend.

Guardians of the Galaxy James Gunn also took it to Twitter to share his thoughts about the Peyton Reed-directed film: "Ant-Man and the Wasp is everything you want it to be," Gunn tweeted. "Hilarious, sweet, moving, & wall-to-wall fun. Killer work @MrPeytonReed! And great performances by @EvangelineLilly, @hannahjk1 & of course @Dastmalchian. I loved it! (Pro tip: see it before Avengers 4!)"

Synopsis:

From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink: "Ant-Man and The Wasp." In the aftermath of "Captain America: Civil War," Scott Lang grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he's confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past.

Directed by Peyton Reed, Ant-Man & The Wasp stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Pena, David Dastmalchian, Randall Park, Laurence Fishburne, Michelle Pfeiffer, Hannah John-Kamen, and Michael Douglas, and it's set to release in theaters on July 6. Avengers: Infinity War is still showing in theaters.
