In an interview with TVLine, Daniel Wu discussed the major revelation in the season finale and what it could mean for the future. Interestingly, Wu suggested that Jin Wang being the Fourth Scroll might have something to do with a mysterious artifact.

"[Jin as the Fourth Scroll] could be related to the legacy of those jade pendants," he said. "There’s maybe some family legacy there that we can explore in Season 2 if we’re lucky enough to do it."

Wu also considered the possibility of Ke Huy Quan's Jamie Yao playing a larger role in American Born Chinese Season 2.

"Oh, that’d be cool if he did, because I thought it was an amazingly powerful device to use him to play that character," he said.

"In some ways it’s very meta in that it’s reflective of his [own] life and his career, but also of the character as well," Wu said. "I think that’s why it seemed so heartfelt and earnest."

Daniel Wu also addressed the possibility of American Born Chinese Season 2 moving forward.

"I think it’s early at the moment, but I know there’s some kind of movements towards it," he said. "But with the writer’s strike, everything’s on pause, so no clarity on that yet."

For now, Disney has not yet announced American Born Chinese Season 2. However, there are speculations that the series will be renewed in the next few weeks. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
