Haro Aso is on a roll. Aside from getting adaptations for his first two manga series, the Alice in Borderland creator’s NSFW manga Sex-chan is confirmed to get a live-action TV drama adaptation in Japan.
This marks the third time that his work is getting adapted into live-action, with the first being Alice in Borderland which became a big hit on Netflix.
Since then, it seems that interest in Aso’s work has continued to increase, especially with his zombie manga series getting two adaptations coming soon.
Haro Aso’s Works Are Getting New Adaptations
Haro Aso is best known for creating the Alice in Borderland manga which was serialized between 2010 and 2016.
While the manga was already popular on its own, its popularity skyrocketed after Netflix released its live-action series adaptation back in December 2020.
The first season was followed by Season 2, which was released two years later.
Now, fans of Aso’s works are looking forward to the Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead anime which will begin this July.
Specifically, the anime is being made by BUG FILMS and is scheduled to release on Hulu and Netflix beginning July 9.
Though this isn’t the only adaptation of Zom 100, as a live-action project is also in the works.
Much like Alice in Borderland, a Zom 100 live-action project is also being made by Netflix, and it is set to release this August.
But unlike Netflix’s previous hit, the Zom 100 live-action project is a feature film.

Sex-chan Manga Is Getting a Live-Action TV Drama
Back in December, Haro Aso revealed his latest manga series titled Sex-chan.
And as the title implies, this manga is NSFW and follows the sex lives of various women. It also features various stories in an omnibus style.
Now, it was revealed that Sex-chan is getting a live-action TV drama in Japan, which will air soon on ABC TV.
Given how big of a hit Alice in Borderland is, it’s no surprise that Aso’s other works are also getting the live-action treatment.
Though given the NSFW nature of his latest work, the upcoming Sex-chan TV drama might have a unique direction.
The Sex-chan TV drama is set to air in Japan this August. There’s no word on an international release for it right now.
