In just a few weeks, the highly-anticipated Star Wars series Ahsoka will finally arrive on Disney+. A lot of fans have been looking forward to seeing the next chapter in Ahsoka Tano's journey following her guest appearances in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.

The upcoming series will also feature the return of the main characters from Rebels and, this time around, they will appear in live-action form.

As usual, most of the plot details are being kept under wraps at the moment, but as the previous trailers showed, it looks like it will be yet again another action-packed adventure in the galaxy far, far away.

Now, as we're heading closer to its release, we finally have the details regarding the runtime for the first two episodes that will premiere.

According to a post from insider Cryptic HD Quality on X, the first two episodes of Ahsoka have a combined runtime of 96 minutes overall. The press screenings were cited as the source of the report.

On average, it would mean that each episode will have a runtime of around 48 minutes assuming that they have equal lengths which is unlikely.

While the runtime doesn't have any indication about the quality of the series, it does tell us that it will be a little longer than most episodes of the third season of The Mandalorian which have an average length of less than 40 minutes including the credits.

It is also a sign that the first two episodes will do a lot of set-up of what the series will be about, introduce the familiar and new characters, and show the conflict and stakes that they will face on their journey.

As long as the episodes are good and the pacing feels right, the runtime shouldn't be an issue at all and there's a good amount of story that you can tell in a 48-minute episode.

It would be interesting to see if the subsequent episodes will also fall around the same runtime or if it will end up being similar to the runtime of the third season of The Mandalorian where it will be shorter than the debut episodes.

The first two episodes of Ahsoka are set to premiere on Disney+ this August 23. You can check more details about it here.
