After a grueling wait, Ahsoka is finally here and we can already say right off the bat that apart from Ahsoka Tano, Sabine Wren is one of the show's stand-out characters so far.

However, despite the fandom's delight in seeing the Star Wars Rebels character in action, a major plot twist left many viewers quite infuriated. Here's why fans were too thrilled with Ahsoka Episode 1's Sabine Wren twist.

Ahsoka: Fans of Prequel Trilogy Aren't Happy with Sabine Wren's Survival

The closing moments of Ahsoka's premiere episode gave fans sheer anxiety but it also delivered flashbacks to the prequels some didn't want to relive. You see, in "Master and Apprentice", Sabine put her lightsaber-wielding skills to the test as she faced off against Shin Hati who was in pursuit of the orb that contained the map that would lead to the whereabouts of Grand Admiral Thrawn.

After an impressive back-and-forth, Hati's strength and experience proved to be too much for Sabine and she was able to stab her through the abdomen. Miraculously, in Episode 2, it was revealed that Sabine survived the wound she sustained and her healing time was quite impressive, too.

The same thing can't be said for Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn who suffered a similar fate against Darth Maul in The Phantom Menace. Now, fans are airing their dismay over Sabine surviving a fatal wound that pretty much ended Qui-Gon's life.

To be fair, age probably played a factor in Qui-Gon succumbing to Maul's attack. Either that or Sabine actually has regenerative abilities we don't know about.
