The Star Wars franchise's anticipated return to streaming is already making huge waves and we can already tell that Ahsoka will be a true "Force" (pun definitely intended) to be reckoned with, judging by the first two episodes.

Apart from the excellent performances lead stars Rosario Dawson, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Natasha Liu Bordizzo delivered, the show's supporting cast including Diana Lee Inosanto, Ivanna Sakhno, and the late Ray Stevenson were also stand-outs.

Right off the bat, the menacing duo of Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati make their presence known and while it remains unclear what they would like to refer to themselves, the Force-wielding team is surely a formidable threat to the galaxy.

During Episode 1's opening sequence, Baylan and Shin help Morgan Elsbeth escape from prison and the Magistrate instruct them to retrieve the star map which at the time was already in Ahsoka Tano's possession.

The said map contains the exact location of Grand Admiral Thrawn who has been missing in action since the finale of Star Wars Rebels. Later in the episode, Shin successfully recovers the map from Sabine Wren who was outnumbered by the Force-wielding entity and a crew of Assassin Droids.

At the end of Episode 1, the show paid tribute to Stevenson whose untimely passing last May left many devastated. Right before the end credits start rolling, a heartfelt message which reads "For Our Friend, Ray" is shown.

The actor, best known for his involvement in the Marvel Universe, playing both Punisher in Punisher: War Zone and Volstagg of the Warriors Three in the Thor film franchise died on May 20 while filming a project on the island of Ischia. He was 58.
