Star Wars diehards couldn't help but rave about Episode 6 of the Ahsoka series and for good reason. The exciting episode finally brought Grand Admiral Thrawn and Ezra Bridger to live-action and also dropped more hints surrounding Sabine Wren's connection to the Force.

However, there's one moment from "Far, Far Away" we're pretty certain a lot of you missed.

There's a good chance you heard Huyang mention the line "A long time ago... in a galaxy far, far away" during the opening moments of Episode 6 but prior to him uttering the iconic piece of the franchise's opening crawl, the episode actually dropped a surprising meta-reference you probably didn't catch.

As Ahsoka Tano and Huyang were on their way to the location of Grand Admiral Thrawn and Ezra Bridger (which happens to be Peridea) with the help of the Purrgil, they recalled stories the droid used to tell to the younglings at the Jedi Temple.

Huyang then proceeds to talk about the history of the galaxy which according to him is divided into three parts. Ahsoka quickly shares her thoughts, saying: "One being the best, of course".

While unconfirmed, it's pretty safe to say that the sixth episode made a surprising meta-reference to the franchise, particularly to the Skywalker Saga which obviously has three parts — the original, prequel, and sequel trilogies.

Ahsoka's preference for "part one" also seems to be a nod to her own origin. You see, the idea for the character was actually conceived during the prequel trilogy but George Lucas ultimately scrapped plans to include her in Attack of the Clones.

Years later, Dave Filoni made Ahsoka a central figure in the Clone Wars show and the rest, like the old folks say is history.

Ahsoka premieres new episodes every Tuesday on Disney+.
