Agatha: Darkhold Diaries is one of the many MCU shows that are part of their upcoming slate. It will follow up on the events of WandaVision and, this time around, the villainous Agatha Harkness will take the spotlight with Kathryn Hahn back in the role.

So far, the plot details for the spinoff remain under wraps, but it is expected to double down on exploring the witchcraft side of the MCU and the origins of the fan-favorite villain.

A lot of fans have been looking forward to the series which is set to arrive around Halloween season next year and there's a lot of hope that it will match the quality of WandaVision.

Now, to the surprise of many fans, we finally have our early first look at the upcoming MCU series.

Agatha: Darkhold Diaries Featurette Reveals First Look at the MCU Series

Marvel Studios has released the first look featurette at Agatha: Darkhold Diaries as part of the bonus features of the WandaVision steelbook release.

The footage, which has now spread online, gave fans an exciting behind-the-scenes preview of the upcoming MCU series including the first look at the characters played by Aubrey Plaza, Patti LuPone, and Joe Locke.

The show's head writer Jac Schaeffer was also seen discussing how the spinoff was created and teased what they have in store for the series.

While the featurette didn't give us an idea about what the exact plot is, it was still an exciting tease for fans since we're finally getting an idea about what its visual looks like a year before its target release.

Based on what we've seen here, it looks promising as you can see the remnants of WandaVision with the way they are shooting the series such as the practical sets and revisiting Agatha's various looks when she was pretending as the sitcom characters.

It might take several more months before we'll see more previews about the series, but this is a great start to hype up the fans who have been looking forward to seeing more of this corner of the MCU that was introduced in WandaVision.

Agatha: Darkhold Diaries is slated for release on Disney+ in the fall of 2024.
