After Gold, Blue, and Red, Marvel Announces X-Men Black

The X-Men books have been obsessed with color lately, with X-Men Gold and Blue starting the trend, with X-Men Red being the third color-based book. Now that the first two books are about to end, many assumed that Red would be renamed to Uncanny and everything would go back to normal. Turns out that isn't the case.

Marvel has revealed a teaser for X-Men Black, which doesn't reveal much aside from an angry Magneto. Drawn by J. Scott Campbell, it seems to imply that Magneto will either go back to his old ways or lead a darker version of the X-Men, with the latter being a huge possibility. It seems like fans will want to follow X-Men Blue if they want to see what makes the Master of Magnetism go mad again.

Prior to his teaching of the time-displaced X-Men, Magneto led a more dangerous version of Uncanny X-Men. The group consisted of himself, Sabretooth, Archangel, Mystique, Fantomex, and Psylocke, as they set out to protect mutants through deadly means. After Inhumans vs X-Men, the group was disbanded and Magneto decided to take care of the original time-displaced five.

More information on X-Men Black will be revealed during SDCC so fans have that to look forward to.
