Despite the catalog of Star Wars content on Disney+, fans are longing for new material for the theatrical run. Given their thirst, any new information they see online is an opportunity to speculate.

A recent photo of Adam Driver and Oscar Isaac was posted on Twitter, and even if the image didn’t suggest anything but two friends who could be hanging out, some fans insisted that it could be Star Wars-related.

Some even questioned if the actors had ever been in the same scene in two of the Star Wars films they have both appeared in. While others pointed out that the reunion is impossible given that Driver’s character has already been killed off.

Driver portrayed Ben Solo, who changed his name to Kylo Ren after turning to the dark side, and Isaac played Poe Dameron. Both appeared in Star Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: Episode VIII: The Last Jedi.

Driver then extended his villainous stint in Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker, and in one of his interviews in 2021, the actor addressed whether he would ever come back to the role.

“No, I'm totally not against it. For me, it's a filmmaker's medium, so my only thing is working with great filmmakers. Whatever the size…” said the House of Gucci actor.

Meanwhile, Isaac also opened up about a potential return as a freedom fighter in one of these conversations with Variety last year.

“I don’t know. I’m open to anything. You never know. I have no real feeling one way or another. I’m open to any good story. Time is the one thing that becomes challenging… as you get older and kids and all that. Where do [movies] fit in? If there was a great story and a great director and [Lucasfilm president] Kathy [Kennedy] came to me and was like, ‘I have this great idea,’ then I’m so open to it.” said the Moon Knight actor.

Two years ago, both actors labeled themselves as the "bad boys of Star Wars," and their recently taken photo probably just indicates that they are very good friends given their work history in the franchise.
