The story gets more and more exciting and shocking in the fifth season of Supergirl and now, it looks like Kara isn't the only Girl of Steel in the Arrowverse.
That is, with a twist of course. The CW recently released the preview for the 16th episode of Supergirl titled "Alex in Wonderland," to be released on the 22nd of March. The trailer shows Chyler Leigh's Alex return to a virtual National City where she gets to live in any reality she wants. She'll get to take a new identity and become another version of the Supergirl.
Her friends will eventually realized that she's trapped within her new persona and will attempt to rescue her. The only thing that could bring her back to reality is with a shock, so fans will see Alex cling to her virtual delusions as the team tries to free her from it. You can check out the trailer above.
While there will be something to look forward to this Sunday, production for the remaining episodes of season five has been delayed over coronavirus concerns. Filming for other Arrowverse shows were suspended as well. The show's season finale will be in May but there's no telling what happens in the next few weeks because of the pandemic.

ALEX TAKES ON A NEW ROLE – Alex (Chyler Leigh) uses a pair of Obsidian contact lenses to visit a virtual National City where she takes on a whole new persona. Meanwhile, Kelly (Azie Tesfai) helps William (Staz Nair) investigate Lex. Kara (Melissa Benoist) deals with difficult news. Tawnia McKiernan directed the episode with story by Rob Wright and teleplay by Jess Kardos & Mariko Tamaki.
New episodes of Supergirl arrive on Sundays at 9 p.m. on The CW.
