Zombieland Sequel Could Have Bill Murray Return with Another Ghostbuster

One of the most memorable film cameos ever made was Bill Murray's appearance in Zombieland, and with the sequel underway, rumor has it that he'll be back with some company.

According to SuperBroMovies, Murray could be making another appearance in Zombieland 2, but this time, he's going to be filming alongside Ghostbusters co-star Dan Aykroyd. Of course, nothing has been confirmed yet, but it would certainly be a neat follow-up compared to Murray's appearance in the last film.

In the first movie, our group of heroes managed to take refuge in the mansion of Bill Murray, only to find out that he's survived the apocalypse and is masquerading as a zombie. Murray decided to pull a prank on Columbus only to have him panic and kill Murray for real.

If Murray were to appear, my guess is that he would be a full zombie by the time the sequel comes around. Maybe the group runs into Aykroyd who has somehow managed to find Murray to keep him company. Maybe they'll both be zombies? Maybe they won't even share scenes at all.

It's all just pure speculation from this point.

Zombieland 2 is set to come out later this year, so maybe we could expect our first teaser to release sometime around June. The first movie was such a ride, and I'm excited to see the whole gang come back together again.

Catch Zombieland 2 in theaters Oct. 11.
