It has been well over a month now since the most recent episode aired, but finally, the ending is in sight. Recently, it was confirmed that the Zom 100 anime’s finale will be released this Christmas.
The anime’s final set of episodes was confirmed to be released this December via Viz Media’s official X (formerly Twitter) account.
There, it was confirmed that the show’s finale would be streamed outside of Japan on Crunchyroll, Hulu, and Netflix.
This is great news for fans given the show’s troubled production that has resulted in numerous delays.
Zom 100 Finally Returns After a Lengthy Hiatus
Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead was one of the highlights of the Summer 23 season. This is thanks to its unique twist on the zombie apocalypse genre, as well as its impressive animation courtesy of BUG FILMS.
The series quickly gained a lot of fans, though it wasn’t able to continue its momentum as trouble began to brew.
To start, some of its episodes were delayed by a day on international streaming platforms.
At first, this didn’t seem too alarming, but the delays kept mounting, enough that some episodes were delayed by a week.
The exact reasons for the delays weren’t mentioned, but many fans believe that the show’s production ran into issues, likely in part because this is the first major anime series project by its studio.
Following the release of the ninth episode, the anime went on a hiatus, with no release date set for the last three episodes.
Finally, Episodes 10-12 of the series have a confirmed release date.

Zom 100 Episodes 10-12 to Release on Christmas Day
Today, Viz Media announced that Zom 100 Episodes 10-12 will be streamed on Christmas Day, December 25.
The three episodes will be streamed simultaneously on the three platforms that the other episodes are available on.
This should be great news for fans as they don’t have to wait until 2024 for the anime to finish its first season.
After all, that was a legitimate worry given that this is what happened to shows like NieR: Automata Ver1.1a.
Following the announcement, many fans were delighted with the news, with some even hoping that a second season could be worked on quickly following this airing.
For now, there’s no word yet on a specific release time for the last three episodes. More details are expected to be released closer to Christmas day.
