As the Summer 2023 anime season inches ever closer, lots of upcoming shows finally got release dates. Among them is Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead, which revealed its Hulu and Netflix release in the US this July.
The show’s release details were announced recently alongside the reveal of its Japanese TV premiere. Along with broadcast info, the show’s opening and ending themes were also revealed.
Zom 100 getting a Netflix release is a bit of a surprise, though it makes sense as Netflix has an interesting relationship with the series creator.
Zom 100: A New Work from Alice in Borderland’s Creator
This upcoming zombie anime is based on a manga by Haro Aso, the creator of Alice in Borderland.
While Alice is also a manga, the series became globally popular thanks to its live-action adaptation.
The Alice in Borderland live-action series is a Netflix original, and it made waves when the first season was released a few years ago.
Back in December, the show’s second season was released, and it topped Netflix’s chart in many countries.
Because of the show’s popularity, Netflix ordered a live-action adaptation of Zom 100, but as a film instead of a series. This upcoming movie will be released later this year.
Though before the movie gets streamed on Netflix, the TV anime will first air in Summer 2023.
Interestingly, these two adaptations are unrelated, as the anime is spearheaded by Viz Media, Shogakukan, and Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions.

Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead Anime Gets an Official Release Date
Along with the announcement of the Zom 100 Hulu and Netflix US release, the two songs for the show have been announced.
The show’s opening is titled Song of the Dead by KANA-BOON, the popular band that is best known for singing the iconic Naruto theme, Silhouette.
Meanwhile, the ending theme is titled Happiness of the Dead by Shiyui.

These two songs have yet to be revealed in full, though fans can expect to get the full versions shortly after the anime’s premiere.
The Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead anime will release on Hulu and Netflix in the US on July 9. More release details will be revealed at a later date.
