Taking the mantle from Ben Affleck, Robert Pattinson will star as the Dark Knight in Matt Reeves' The Batman. For some, the casting choice is quite unexpected. However, actress Zoe Kravitz, set to play the role of Catwoman in the film, explains why the Twilight star is the "perfect" actor to portray Bruce Wayne.

"First of all, he's just a really good actor," Kravitz told Variety. "He started out as this kind of teen pop sensation, and then I think we all kind of saw through his work that there was a lot more going on."

"He's a really interesting artist, and that is very much Batman in a way," she added. "We have the illusion of Bruce Wayne, and then we have Batman in the shadows that has a lot more complicated things going on."

Kravitz thinks that Pattinson can "relate" to the character in that way, not to mention that he "looks good in the suit" and even has a "good jawline." Aside from the looks, Kravitz says Pattinson "brings so much to everything he does" and is "just a great actor."

The actor also pointed out that Batman is a hard character to portray, especially since people are "expecting a lot." There's also a "restricting" factor to it, where Pattinson wears the suit, only moving in certain ways, making it essential to "get really creative" to portray a "multi-dimensional character." "I think he's perfect, perfect casting," she continued, adding that Pattinson is "way up for the challenge" and already has some "interesting ideas."
