All eyes and cameras were on Zendaya at this year's CFDA Fashion Awards as the actress strutted through the red carpet wearing a show-stopping Vera Wang outfit. The actress attended the 2021 event Wednesday in New York at The Grill restaurant to receive the highly coveted Fashion Icon award.
Given the award she is receiving, Zendaya made sure that she lived up to her reputation – and that she did. The Dune actress's outfit was an Haute couture two-piece ensemble featuring a bandeau bra top and a matching floor-length skirt.

Complementing her outfit, Zendaya wore sparkling diamonds care of Bulgari. Her jewelry included a diamond-encrusted necklace, layered rings, and a bracelet.
A True Fashion Icon
The 25-year-old actress is the youngest ever to receive the Fashion Icon Award. The Council for Fashion Designers of America, the group that determines who is given the award, said that Zendaya had proven time and time again that she isn't afraid to take fashion risks. The council said that her journey to becoming one of the world's most popular fashion icons happened at "supersonic speed."
The council added that Zendaya hasn't been afraid of wearing creations from newer talents like Peter Do throughout her career. However, she has also been known to work successfully with more established fashions houses such as Valentino. A day before the event, Zendaya had worn a Valentino at the London premiere of her latest movie Dune.
"Zendaya has given fans and fashion followers worldwide a seemingly countless number of glamorous red carpet looks to remember," the council said.

Red Carpet World Tour
During the press tour of her latest movie, Zendaya toured the world with her co-star Timothée Chalamet, dazzling the international fans with different and equally-stunning red carpet outfits.
In September, the two looked like Hollywood royalty at the Venice Film Festival premiere of the critically praised sci-fi movie. Photos of the trendsetting co-stars and pals went viral minutes after they arrived on the red carpet.
Zendaya wore an artistically draped leather Balmain gown that was custom-fitted to an accurate model of the star's bust, fashioned by her long-term image architect Law Roach. Roch completed the ensemble with a dazzling array of Bulgari emeralds and diamonds and exact-match Christian Louboutin heels.
Chalamet also proved to the world that he was a fashion powerhouse in his own right. The Oscar candidate accessorized his look with Haider Ackermann's allover sequin black trousers, Cartier jewelry, elegant black sunglasses, and polished leather boots.
Zendaya also wore a Vivienne Westwood chainmail top with a checkered skirt, a Rick Owens gown with one sleeve and a train, and a sheer cutout dress by Nensi Dojaka during the worldwide press tour.
This year, the actress has continued to outdo herself on the red carpet, with plunging necklines, sky-high slits, and sexy cutouts all adding to her consistent "wow" factor.
