Justice League: Zack Snyder Shares New Look at Steppenwolf

Yesterday marked the anniversary of the theatrical release of Justice League, and Zack Snyder had decided to do a trailer breakdown of the updated preview. Just in, he's also shared an updated look at his Steppenwold, and he admittedly looks a lot more menacing than the one we got in Josstice League.

Here's a side-by-side comparison of the character we got back in 2017:

Admittedly some people still think that this design of Steppenwold is kind of a mess, but I guess it would be different once we see him in action. It's said that the armor kind of reacts to Steppenwolf's movements and reactions, and it should appear more volatile when he's moving around and fighting Amazons.

Personally, I'm kind of bummed that the ‘new' teaser we got was just the same one that got taken down, but hopefully Snyder and HBO Max have another preview just waiting to drop. We don't know when they're going to do that, but hopefully it will come around Christmas, along with a reveal on when the movie will actually hit the streaming service.

Though the DCEU is kind of in shambles now (especially with the pandemic), a lot of people are hoping that the release of this cut marks a new era of director-driven projects for the DCEU. Though I would love to see more of Snyder's work down the line, I think we should just wait and see what happens with ZSJL comes out next year.

Catch Zack Snyder's Justice League when it hits HBO Max sometime in 2021.
