Zack Snyder Shares New Image from the Justice League Reshoots

Though people never thought it would happen for years, Zack Snyder is finally being allowed to complete his cut of Justice League, and even if it was said that reshoots weren't needed, they're still taking place now. Pick-ups are currently underway, and Snyder has dropped a tease on social media.

It's just an image of a clapper, but it also has Zack Snyder's Justice League on it. You'll also notice that there's a symbol of the hammer and pick (not to be confused with the communist hammer and sickle) in the middle of the JL shield. We don't really know what that officially means, but seeing as it's a symbol for mining, I think it would be Snyder's way of saying they are ‘hard at work' and maybe they are also ‘repairing what is damaged'. It's just my own interpretation of it.

We don't really know what Snyder has in store for his original Justice League, but we should expect it to be much darker, and more in tone with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. We should also expect it to be much longer, with HBO Max planning to release 1-hour chapters on a weekly basis, culminating in a whole 4-hour cut of the movie.

With the pandemic going on, you could say WB was forced into a corner to make new content while minimizing production—and the strong push for #ReleaseTheSnyderCut was also a huge factor. While it's possible it could still be bad, I'm just happy that Snyder can be true to his original vision of the DCEU, something that was lost ever since BvS came out and the studio started some heavy meddling.

Zack Snyder's Justice League has no official release date but is expected to air sometime in 2021 on HBO Max.
