Zack Snyder Announces a Man of Steel Watch Party

In this age of quarantine, online watch parties with directors have become all the rage. After holding a watch party for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Zack Snyder is deciding to come back to the beginning of his DCEU with a watch party for Man of Steel.

Here's the announcement:

I have to say, it's kind of perfect timing that Snyder would announce a watch party for Man of Steel, seeing as he's just made headlines with the word going around that he's done a private screening for WB executives of hisJustice League last February. No doubt, some people would be tuning in, hoping for an announcement that the release of his Snyder Cut is definitely happening.

If anything, the current cinematic climate is kind of perfect for WB to revisit Justice League. With all production shutting down, WB is going to be starved for new content soon, and Snyder's Justice League being mostly done means WB has something to work on while they wait for the virus to blow over; add to that some very vocal (and annoying) fans and WB is likely to revisit Snyder's version of the DCEU's much-awaited team-up.

Of course, this is all just speculation on our part. We don't know if Snyder's Justice League is officially underway. We just know that something has changed when it comes to WB's stance, and it's possible we could have it released one way or another. The big guess is HBO Max, but I'm sure there are other options.

For now, catch Snyder's Man of Steel watch party on Vero on Wednesday, May 20.
