Zachary Levi Wants Shazam to Face Black Adam and Superman

Shazam is gearing up to clash with Dr. Sivana in Shazam! next year, but everyone is wondering when he's going to clash with his comic rival, Black Adam. As it turns out, star Zachary Levi wants the clash to happen as well, and he's also added another contender on his wishlist—Superman.

Talking to ComicBook, Levi expressed:

"Hell yeah man! I would love for Shazam and Black Adam to go head to head, I would love that. And I would love for like Shazam and Superman to go head to head because in the comic books those have been some iconic fights. You know there's so many cool things we could with the character, but one movie at a time, I'm just so stoked that we're here right now. That we made the movie, we got through that winter in Toronto. These talented young fools are just going to continue to take over the world and I'm just going to hang onto their coattails."

Captain Marvel/Shazam is known to be one of the more powerful heroes in the DCEU, and his powers are said to be even on par with Superman himself. Even the Justice League cartoon showed a clash between Shazam and Superman that looks like something straight out of Man of Steel:

As for Black Adam, you could say that he would be the equal of Shazam, having possessed the powers prior to Billy Batson. The difference is, Adam is a tyrannical leader, whereas Batson is just a young kid in Superman's body.

We don't know when we'll eventually see this clash of titans, but it's absence from the first movie won't make it any less fun.

Catch Shazam! in theaters April 5, 2019.
