If you ask any anime fan about a tearjerker show that they’d recommend, chances are that many will mention A-1 Pictures’ (of Mashle and Kaguya-sama fame) 2015 anime, Your Lie in April.

The original manga by Naoshi Arakawa was inspired by other popular titles such as Beck and Nodame Cantabile but with an extra dose of romantic drama that made it a huge hit for many fans.

As for the anime, it continues to be popular among many fans, not to mention that it’s still highly rated on many websites.

For instance, the series is still within the Top 100 in MyAnimeList’s Best Anime ranking. It is also number 24 in the sites’ popularity ranking – an impressive feat given that it will nearly be nine years since it ended.
