You Star Penn Badgley Looks Fantastic as Reed Richards in MCU Art

The Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom has once again been buzzing following rumors that Kevin Feige and company have found the first member of the franchise's First Family for the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot. It turns out that John Krasinski, who finally realized his MCU dreams in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness won't be playing Reed Richards in future projects.

According to the latest rumors, Penn Badgley, who stars as the cunning serial killer Joe Goldberg in Netflix's You is Marvel Studios' top choice for the part. As it stands, nothing has been officially confirmed yet but according to Devin Faraci, the studio's take on the F4 reboot will feature a traditional set of characters instead of going the diversity route.

Instagram artist Boss Logic, who's worked with Marvel Studios on promotional material in the past has joined the hype train and unveiled an amazing piece depicting the Gossip Girl star as the Smartest Man Alive. However, he admits that Badgley doesn't exactly scream "Mister Fantastic" and he'd much rather see him take on the villainous Doctor Doom role. Check out his post here:

Understandably, some fans are incredibly upset that Krasinski won't be continuing his MCU journey as Earth-616's Reed Richards but I personally think that Badgley is a good fit for the role. Sure, he may not be six feet tall but the actor appears smart and articulate and his performance in the hit Netflix thriller pretty much proves that.

Details about Marvel Studios' Fantastic Four reboot will reportedly be revealed at this year's D23 Expo.
