YG Entertainment has now responded to the drug use claims against its talent, Rose of BLACKPINK, and threatens to take legal action against the perpetrators behind it.

Rose now faces several allegations after Burberry chief creative officer Riccardo Tisci posted a photo of her with Kang Dong Won, and other people went viral. Aside from dating rumors, it also sparked substance abuse accusations due to alleged drug paraphernalia seen on the table.

YG Entertainment Addresses Rose's Drug Use Accusations

YG released an official statement to address the issue on Thursday, April 13.

"We're pursuing legal action against those violating our artists' rights and privacy," it said via AllKpop. "We're currently monitoring and watching those who create and spread these rumors. We will not be settling and will respond strongly."

Tisci posted the photos that went viral on Tuesday, April 11. The snaps appeared to be taken at the luxurious mansion of the well-known fashion designer and entrepreneur Eva Chow.

One of the snaps quickly gained everyone's attention after Rose and Kang Dong Won were seen together.

As expected, it led to numerous speculations and rumors, with some saying they saw drug paraphernalia on the table. Others claimed the two South Korean artists might be dating.

Tisci has since deleted the photo from his Instagram. But as they say, nothing is deleted from the internet.

Fans Defend Rose from Malicious Drug Accusations

Rose's fans come to her defense, stressing that the dating rumors and substance abuse allegations against her are "unfair."

One fan even tagged YG in a post to get its attention and ask to take legal action against the online defamation its artist is experiencing.

"We ask you to take legal action against the online defamation that ROSÉ is going through right now," the fan wrote. "Drugs are serious issues and cannot be ignored, especially after your statement about the protection of your artists."

Aside from Rose, Kang Dong Won is also a former YG artist. He was with the company for seven years before he decided to part ways to build his own one-person agency. He left YG in December 2022.

That said, fans believed he had a connection with Rose through YG.

So far, both Rose and Kang Dong Won have yet to comment on the issue.
