Kevin Costner wants to keep his marriage. However, his wife just filed for divorce, and according to a report, it was due to "an ironclad prenup."

The Yellowstone star's wife, Christine Baumgartner, filed for divorce from him after 18 years of marriage. Monday. Following her filing, she was forced to vacate all of his homes due to an ironclad prenup, RadarOnline reported.

Baumgartner said in her filing that she wanted to officially end their marriage due to "irreconcilable differences." The divorce news surprised many, especially since Costner decided to leave Yellowstone and potentially quit acting altogether.

The outlet noted that Baumgartner knew she would be evicted from his properties. Costner's first divorce from ex-wife Cindy Silva had reportedly cost him $80 million.

When the Bodyguard star tied the knot again, he reportedly made sure to have a powerful prenup ready. The prenup was reportedly a provision covering his real estate portfolio.

According to Radar Online, the Dancing with Wolves star has three homes under his name. Under the prenup's provision, she had to vacate the premises of all properties owned by her soon-to-be ex-husband.

Radar Online also claimed in the report that Baumgartner "blindsided" Coster when she filed for divorce. Several sources also claimed the same to People and Page Six.

People's source claimed:

"It was not anything that he wanted or sought, and if he could change the situation, he would."

Another tipster who spoke with Page Six made the same remarks. Coster was reportedly surprised by the divorce.

The anonymous insider exclaimed:

"Kevin was very surprised by Christine's actions, he obviously doesn't want the divorce, and he would take her back. It's disappointing; he loves her, and he by his children."

An anonymous production source also said they were taken aback upon hearing about Costner's divorce because they saw his dedication to his family.

The production source said:

"No one knew about any issues. He was not 'sequestered' on the set and would often go home to visit his family."

There were rumors that Costner cheated on his wife. However, a pal of the actor denied it, saying, "There was no issue of cheating at all."

Costner's rep also addressed the cheating allegations, calling them "absolutely not true."
