X-Men: The Last Stand Director Brett Ratner Drops Lawsuit Against Sexual Assault Accuser

Recent years have shown that Brett Ratner isn't only a terrible director, he's also a bad person. Sure, he directed garbage like X-Men: The Last Stand and Hercules with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson but he has also sexually harassed and assaulted a number of women over the years. Initially, he sued a woman who was accusing him of this behavior but has now decided to drop them.

The Wrap states that the case has been dismissed with prejudice, revealing that this kind of case cannot be filed again. Melanie Kohler, the woman he allegedly raped, was the one being sued and now that the case has been dropped Kohler's lawyer released a statement, claiming that it was a victory for women everywhere.

Interestingly enough, Ratner also revealed that he was happy that the matter was resolved. Whether that means he will be directing terrible movies again isn't known, we will have to wait and see. Hoping that this gives Kohler and some of the women he reportedly attacked a sense of peace.

Ratner's reputation has taken a huge hit in light of the #metoo movement, with Last Stand actress Ellen Paige pointing out some of the terrible things he did while on set for that movie. She even pointed out how he outed her as a lesbian before she did it herself, which is pretty mean for anyone to do.

Here's hoping this is the last we hear of this for the time being. Let's also hope that justice for more sexual assault victims comes.

Dark Phoenix, a movie that looks like a remake of X-Men: The Last Stand, is now slated for a June 7, 2019 release.
