X-Men: Dark Phoenix’s Script Was Reviewed By Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige

X-Men: Dark Phoenix might be a 20th Century Fox project, but it turns out that the film's script was actually reviewed by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige.

Feige just recently attended X-Men: Dark Phoenix's showcase panel at this year's CCXP and there the film's director confirmed that the Marvel Studio producer actually reviewed the script for the film, giving the production team a suggestion about the film's tone after checking out the papers for the movie before the X-Men and Fox's other mutant properties can head over to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Could this mean that Fox is preparing for its various Marvel properties to head over to Marvel? Sounds a lot like it.

Earlier this year, Disney announced that it decided to purchase Fox and its film and television assets. While some aren't entirely excited about the ballooning size of the Mickey Mouse House, Marvel fans are eager to see the deal push through knowing that it would mean the arrival of the X-Men, Fantastic Four, Deadpool and other mutants to the MCU.

Of course, it will take some time for Marvel to complete the merger with the company, but the thought of seeing the mutants return to the MCU brings nothing but excitement to the Marvel fanbase. The X-Men franchise might seem strong, but not all of the franchise's films have done so well at the box office and among critics.

Hopefully, Marvel will be able to turn things around once they bring Tony Stark (Robert Downey) Jr. down safe and sound from Avengers 4.

Marvel's next film, Avengers 4, premieres May 3, 2019. Meanwhile, Dark Phoenix hits cinemas June 7, 2019.
