X-Men: Dark Phoenix Star Sophie Turner Discusses On-Set Altercation With Male Co-Star

Normally, you wouldn't want to cause trouble with The Phoenix but it looks like there was some on-set trouble between co-stars during the filming of X-Men: Dark Phoenix. Shockingly enough, it involves lead star and Game of Thrones darling Sophie Turner, who did not name the male star she had problems with. It's not something you hear about a lot from actors since these stories usually come from the dirt sheets.

Speaking with Glamour, Turner brings up how she has a hard time standing up for herself and brought up a moment where her co-star walked off the set during a scene and she was forced to do her lines with the writer. Jessica Chastain helped her out, telling the young actress that she needs to stand up for herself more, something Turner admits she's having trouble with.

"I actually have a really big problem with not being able to stand up for myself. Especially if I'm arguing against a man. [Dark Phoenix co-star] Jessica Chastain is the one that said it to me, ‘You need to stand up for yourself more! She [Jessica] said, ‘Just go and talk to him, go and say something to him!' I'm a bit of a shy, pushover person, but I'm getting there, I'm working on it."

We can only hope that things turned out well but it looks like there was some tension that happened while filming. Considering how many times this movie has been delayed, it's easy to see why some people would be hot-headed, though walking offset if still pretty unprofessional.

Fans can only guess who this male co-star is.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix comes out on June 6.
