Wreck-It Ralph 2 Has A Sweet And Funny Cameo Of Stan Lee

Warning: This article contains spoilers for Wreck-It Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet.

Wreck-It Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet just made its big premiere yesterday, and fans managed to spot a cameo of the late Marvel comic book legend, Stan Lee.

Last week, Marvel fans were left heartbroken after learning that Lee had passed away after being driven to a hospital from his home up in Hollywood Hills. Lee had been such an important figure in pop culture – not only had he created iconic characters like Iron Man, Spider-Man, Thor, X-Men, and the Fantastic Four; he also had the hand in creating the Marvel Cinematic Universe, establishing the idea of a shared universe in cinema. When the Marvel Cameo King's fans, friends, and Hollywood colleagues learned of his passing, everyone took to social media to pay their respects.

Now, with Ralph Breaks the Internet out on release, fans get their very first cameo of Lee after his passing, and it's a pretty darn cute little cameo too (via Screen Rant). Picking up six years after the first Wreck-It Ralph movie, Ralph Breaks the Internet has John C. Reilly's Ralph and Sarah Silverman's Vanellope von Schweetz scouring the internet for a rare part of Sugar Rush that was broken in the real world.

In their adventures across the internet, Vanellope finds herself being chased by Star Wars Stormtroopers in Disney's "Oh My Disney" website, and in her rush she runs past an older online avatar who turns around with a surprised look on his face. That avatar was none other than Stan Lee, and while the comic book legend doesn't speak in the scene, fans get to see him interact with his own character, Iron Man.

It's a sweet and fun bit – one of the many cameos that Lee left behind before his passing.

Wreck-It Ralph 2 is screening in cinemas.
