Wonder Woman 1984 Gets New Teaser Ahead of Christmas Premiere

After multiple delays, Warner Bros. has conceded to COVID-19 and will have Wonder Woman 1984 come out on HBO Max alongside its theatrical release. With Christmas just around the corner (and CCXP happening last weekend), we have a new teaser for the only big superhero movie coming out this year.

I don't know if this was deliberate, but the shots in the beginning of the teaser of the empty streets seem like a nod to the current situation of the world. We don't know if that's actually part of the movie, but it's great when we can get some new material that addresses the state of things.

Besides that, the teaser does have some few new shots, usually some that build upon what we've already seen, like young Diana back in Themyscira and Diana supposedly tying herself to the Invisible Jet and taking off. There's also a nice moment between Diana and Trevor in the jet, and you can really tell that the chemistry between the two characters is really at the heart of the movie.

While some would have eagerly waited for Wonder Woman 1984 to come out next year, I guess WB had a point when they said that they were afraid that the movie was going to ‘go stale'. I guess you can only tease a movie so much before you release it. I mean, Black Widow was delayed by a year, and I'm admittedly less excited to see it than I was earlier in 2020.

Catch Wonder Woman 1984 when it debuts in theaters and HBO Max on December 25, Christmas Day.
