Wonder Woman 1984 Director Not Interested in Doing Third DC Film Yet

We're still waiting for Wonder Woman 1984 but some people are already looking towards the future. So when are we getting a third Wonder Woman film? Patty Jenkins has just stated that she isn't quite ready to work on yet another DC Extended Universe movie.

Jenkins recently spoke to Collider about future projects and the Wonder Woman 1984 director confirmed that the next sequel is already planned out.

"We actually already know the whole story, and some because it was an Amazon movie as well, so we already have it all mapped out. It's just a matter of will we change our minds and when," Jenkins said.

This is good news indeed but don't expect to get a third Wonder Woman film featuring Gal Gadot right away.

"I think what we don't want to do is do it back-to-back. It's been great doing these two movies back-to-back, but I think it's important to give it a little rest in between and I like doing other things in between and Gal has other things to do," Jenkins said. "I never want to make decisions too far in advance. We have to see if we both feel like making the movie we think we want to make when the moment comes."

It's probably a good thing for both Jenkins and Gadot to take a break after Wonder Woman 1984. Although it's still unclear when the third movie will begin, we're just glad to know we'll be seeing more of Diana Prince again in the future.

Wonder Woman 1984 will premiere on June 5, 2020.
