Wizards of the Coast Confirms Error in Description of Magic: The Gathering Double Masters

Wizards of the Coast has confirmed an error in the description of the VIP Edition of Double Masters, the premium version of the upcoming Magic: The Gathering compilation set.

Over on Twitter, the company said that they erred when describing the contents of the two foil borderless cards found only in the VIP edition. Wizards noted that while they are marked as rare or mythic rare in their borderless versions, eight of the cards are "popular, powerful cards found at other rarities in the set."

The original description of the Double Masters VIP Edition noted "2 foil borderless rares/mythic rares (only found in VIP edition). WotC went on to note that four of the eight cards at other rarities have already revealed: Expedition Map, Urza's Mine, and Urza's Tower, and Urza's Power Plant.

The premium versions of the Tron lands will probably be worth more than most of the borderless rares featured in the Double Masters VIP Edition, but I hope the misinformation won't disappoint many customers who already preordered this expensive product.

Double Masters will be released on August 7, 2020; it will also be available on Magic Online for $6.99 per pack. The price for the VIP Edition was previously revealed to be $90 a pack.
