This year's San Diego Comic-Con International is in full swing and Warner Brothers has definitely been busy. Not only has the study been rolling out material for its different films in the DC Extended Universe, it's also released a new trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald during its Hall H presentation.
Running for around three minutes, the trailer for the second Fantastic Beasts movie starts with Jude Law's Dumbledore teaching his Defense Against the Dark Arts class. The wizard's lesson revolves around a boggart, a magical creature that appears as a person's very worst fear. Eddie Redmayne's Newt Scamander is second in line, and when he comes up the boggart turns into an office desk – a cute and odd fear of "having to work in an office."
The trailer then cuts to Johnny Depp's' Grindelwald, the powerful and dangerous wizard explaining to a crowd how it was a wonder why the wizarding world is forced to skulk in the shadows even though magic blossoms only in a few people.
"But the old ways serve us no longer," Grindelwald says with confidence.
After that fans then get a lot of great action sequences with all sorts of magical creatures like giant seahorses, saucer-eyed cats and blue dragons doused in flame. But among the many shots in the trailer, one of the most exciting bits is the appearance of the old and pale Nicolas Flamel, who doesn't "look a day over 375."
