After another success of Lee Je Hoon’s drama, the beloved anti-hero is set to return for Taxi Driver season 3.
The weekend K-drama is based on the popular webtoon The Deluxe Taxi which depicts a mysterious organization that protects the victims and helps them get their revenge against the perpetrators.
Taxi Driver, which initially made its debut in 2021 maintained receive soaring viewership rating and even hit an all-time high during the second season’s finale.
SBS Confirms Taxi Driver Season 3
In a report cited by Soompi, the SBS series gets a green light for another highly anticipated sequel.
As mentioned by the outlet, producers have confirmed the third installment of the webtoon-based action crime series is “already in the works.”
It means that officials will “start discussions with the actors, writer, and director” following the announcement regarding Taxi Driver season 3.
While the upcoming season is officially confirmed, viewers are curious who among the cast members will reprise their roles.
With this, the producer shared that the production team is looking into the possibility of having the original cast members return for the third season.
The same goes for the filming schedule which is also yet to be decided.
To recall, the last episode of Taxi Driver season 2 hints at the possible comeback of the Rainbow Taxi team.

Prior the confirmation regarding Taxi Driver season 3, Lee Je Hoon hints about his possible return for the third installment.
In a report cited by KBizoom, the top star mentioned SBS Catch’s official YouTube channel and his anticipation for season 3.
Hinting at what to expect in the upcoming season, he teased viewers and said, “I’ll learn golf before Taxi Driver 3.”
Like viewers, Lee Je Hoon admitted that he is also “looking forward” to Kim Do Gi’s return in season 3.
“If I had known this would happen, I would have practiced golf. I’ll learn it before Taxi Driver 3 starts. I’ll play better then,” he said.
As viewers wait for the Taxi Driver season 3 release date, Lee Je Hoon will be having a small screen comeback and will be taking a detective role in Chief Inspector 1963.
