The DC Universe is currently undergoing a revamp under the new leadership of co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran, and with the release of Shazam! Fury of the Gods, the question lies on whether there will still be a Shazam! 3 happening in the future.

Will There Be Shazam! 3?
Earlier this year, the DC Universe announced its revamp with the first five movies for the first installment of the new franchise under the new co-chairmen of DC Studios, Peter Safran and James Gunn, but that does not include any mention of Shazam nor tease any of his appearance.
With Shazam! Fury of the Gods seemingly setting up the myths within the DC lore and introducing some gods, there is may still be a possibility that Shazam! 3 could happen under Gunn and Safran's leadership so it remains best not to rule it out.
The post-credits scenes of Shazam! Fury of the Gods offer some tease on what to expect in the narrative should there be a Shazam! 3 coming up in the DC Universe.
First is where Peacemaker and Emilia Harcourt seemingly recruiting Shazam to be part of the Justice Society. Shazam even joked about possibly changing the name of the team so as not to be mistaken with the Justice League.

The other is something closer to the lore of Shazam where the villain of it first movie, Doctor Thaddeus Silvana, converses with Mister Mind as if they are crafting up some evil plan to team up against Shazam. It should be noted that in the comics, Mister Mind is a villain of Shazam.
Uncertainties still circle around Shazam! 3 happening given the circumstances but fans remain hopeful. Even Zachary Levi, the actor who dons the Shazam suit, admits to the fact that he may or may not come back anymore as Billy Batson.
On a video shared on Twitter by @ShazamNews in December 2022, Levi said, “Listen, I have no idea what ultimately is going to happen to me. I think I’m in a pretty good position, I think we made a great movie." This seems to be a confirmation that neither the actor is sure of his future as Shazam.
For now, all everyone holds on to is hope that at one point, Shazam and his whole family would be back in the new DC Universe while Shazam! 3's fate remains unknown.
