The Arrowverse has expanded over the years and one of the shows that truly made it through the time is DC’s Legends of Tomorrow where the characters from the comics come into life featuring characters from other The CW shows such as The Flash and Arrow. With Season 7 ending, will there be a Season 8 for one of the longest series in the franchise?
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow started airing in January 2016 following the footsteps of Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl under the same fictional universe called the Arrowverse or which is now known as The CWVerse.
Various heroes and villains come together in one show forming a group of powered people called the Legends such as Atom, White Canary, Firestorm, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Captain Cold, Heat Wave, Citizen Steel, Vixen, Zari, Kid Flash, Reverse-Flash, and more. Over the years, names on the list come and go, and some of the characters even crossover to other Arrowverse shows.
It all started with Rip Hunter, a time-traveling rogue who recruited heroes and villains and formed a team out of these powered individuals to stop an apocalyptic event from happening, now only on Earth, but throughout time itself. He calls this group as Legends.
Season 7 had the Legends embark on a journey wherein they try to find a way back to their own respective time after the events that happened to Waverider. In a twist of time and turns, the Legends face various threats such as going against their robot clones and trouble with the technology of Gideon and Bishop. As the season ended, one question remained, will there be another run?
Will There Be a Season 8 of DC's Legends of Tomorrow?
To date, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is yet to get a confirmation whether there would be another season for the show. However, the finale perfectly closes a door and opens another with everything that happened, possibly leading the story into something bigger should there be another run.
When everything seems to be at peace, the Time Police arrived to arrest the Legends and Mike for time-related crimes. Nate is retiring at the Wind Totem, and Sara is pregnant. If there would be another season, it could delve into the questions left by the finale.
