Squid Game actor O Yeong Su got embroiled in an assault case, making the series’ fans worried about the flick’s future.
Among the characters of Squid Game, O Yeong Su’s Oh Il Nam made the most buzz because of his real identity. Oh Il Nam, or player 001, plays a huge role in the creation of the bloody games.
In the series, Lee Jung Jae’s Seong Gi Hun visits him on his deathbed and witnesses his passing.
Although O Yeong Su will highly unlikely to appear in the Squid Game season 2, the series fans are now worried that the hit Netflix series might be affected by the recent buzz thrown against him.
Will O Yeong Su Be Part of Squid Game Season 2?
Netflix has since confirmed the next season of Squid Game. In a previous interview with Deadline, director Hwang Dong Hyul and actor Park Hae Soo confirmed who would return in the next season.
According to the showrunner, Lee Jung Jae and Lee Byung Hoon would come back to continue the story.
There is currently no confirmation whether O Yeong Su will make a cameo or return to the series. But fans are afraid his recent conduct will affect the series in any way.
The series is yet to comment on the matter, and the allegation continues to be a hot topic globally.
Meanwhile, others defended the actor and slammed the woman for trying to milk on the actor after his success in Squid Game.

O Yeong Su’s Sexual Misconduct Allegation: Actor Denies Claims
South Korean news outlets like iMBC and SBS News Entertainment revealed on November 25 that the Seongnam Branch of the Suwon District Prosecutor’s Office indicted the South Korean actor.
A woman reportedly accused him of inappropriately touching her body in 2017.

The police received the complaint in December 2021. A few months later, it forwarded the documents to higher authorities to initiate a supplementary investigation.
The law enforcement officials interviewed witnesses and reviewed opinions submitted by the lawyers. After a discussion, the police decided not to transfer the case.
But the victim appealed and led the prosecution to reinvestigate the case.
Following the revelation, O Yeong Su denied the claims and said he held the woman’s hand.
“I just held her hand to guide the way around the lake. I apologized because [the person] said she wouldn’t make a fuss about it, but it doesn’t mean that I admit the charges,” he said.
Still, the prosecution obtained evidence that proved the harassment, transferring the case to open a trial.
All About O Yeong Su
The 73-year-old actor, whose real name is Oh Se Kang, debuted in the 1965’s The Seashore Village.
He starred in more films and TV series in the past decades, leading him to land several awards for his acting skills.
In addition, he famously works in the theatre, that he has more than 10 titles under his belt, like King Lear, The Tempest, Fathers and Sons, Last Session, and Love Letter.
