Liar Liar, as the title suggests, is a psychological, romance, and ecchi anime where the main character, Hiroto Shinohara, holds a huge secret that no one should find out except his trusted allies!

What Is Hiroto Lying About in Liar Liar?
Hiroto had no intention of lying to anyone on Academy Island at first. He was just an ordinary transfer student from the mainland who had no idea what awaited him on Shiki's man-made island.
In fact, Hiroto’s entrance exam scores are the worst of the worst. But still, Hiroto was somehow able to pass the exam and get onto campus.
On his first day of school, Hiroto got lost after not being able to understand how his terminal works.
He encounters a beautiful girl named Sarasa Saionji, who kindly helps him out. She showed him how the terminal works, and she even told Hiroto some dos and don’ts on the island.
However, their encounter escalated quickly, and Hiroto found himself playing a game against Sarasa! This is after Sarasa assumed that Hiroto set her up after a truck came rushing towards them.
But in reality, Hiroto has no idea what Sarasa was talking about. Still, Hiroto has to play against Sarasa, even after he tried to explain himself.
Sarasa chose to play a turn-based staring contest, where the players should maintain the same facial expressions no matter what their opponent tries to do in front of them.
Eventually, Sarasa lost after Hiroto’s facial expressions did not waver. He won by chance after Sarasa felt embarrassed to see herself drenched in water.
Unbeknownst to Hiroto, Sarasa is the reigning Seven-Star holder of Academy Island, and because he won against her, he became the newest student to ever get the coveted title!
That’s when Principal Ichinose of Eimei approached Hiroto to talk about his win against Sarasa and its repercussions.
She told Hiroto that every student in the academy will go after him now that he is the Seven-Star holder, even though his true rank is that of only one star.
So, Principal Ichinose decided to help Hiroto out for their mutual benefit. She told Hiroto that the one star he holds is a red one, which allows him to make everyone believe a particular lie.

Will Hiroto’s Lie Be Exposed in Liar Liar?
As of writing, Hiroto Shinohara’s lie is still safe. He is still the Seven-Star holder of Academy Island, hiding behind Shirayuki Himeji’s company of capable hackers and game manipulators.
There were many students who came after Hiroto, but thanks to Himeji's efforts, they all failed to overcome him.
Hiroto has absolutely no chance of losing the game, thanks to his behind-the-scenes allies who hack into the terminals of his opponents and influence their star abilities.
For instance, Hiroto defeated Haru Urasaka, a senior female student from Zone 11.
She was clearly capable of winning against Hiroto, but due to Himeji’s scouting and Kagaya’s hacking techniques, Haru lost the match, and Hiroto won effortlessly.
The same thing happened in Hiroto’s other games. It will be hard for him to get defeated, especially now that Sarasa Saionji’s stand-in, Rina Akabane, has also agreed to have an alliance with him.

What Will Happen if Hiroto’s Lie Is Exposed in Liar Liar?
Once Hiroto’s lie is exposed, he will be immediately kicked out of the Academy. He will no longer hold the Seven-Star title, and he will also fail to find his missing childhood friend.
Of course, Principal Ichinose, as well as Himeji and her company, will also be apprehended.
They will lose their jobs, as Hiroto’s lie will cause a major upset in the entire student body and the school administration.
Moreover, the truth behind the disappearance of the real Sarasa Saionji will also be known to the public.
It will affect Rina Akabane, who only wants to keep her friend’s identity safe from harm.
