LOL fans are worried after learning that Hwei is currently disabled. Players have been notified with an in-game message saying, "We have disabled Hwei due to in-game issues and are currently working on a resolution."
This brought in the question of how long he will be disabled, and what kind of bug is disrupting players from effectively using him in the game:
Considering that every single champion taking part in League of Legends has their unique abilities and playstyle, the absence of Hwei from the roster would be a huge loss for fans.
As some players noticed, LOL may have disabled Hwei due to "skill shots aiming in the completely wrong direction."
Some players have even lost count of the occurring "bug" (close to 100 games using Hwei) malfunctioning as they used Hwei on their rounds.
The brooding painter's sudden disappearance marked a noticeable gap for fans upon starting up the game.
Not to mention, Hwei was only made a playable champion in December 2023, which brought fans concern as to when they'll be able to utilize his skills again.

Riot Games Addresses Temporary Bug Fixing For Hwei
It's not unusual for online games to experience bugs and other technical hiccups every now and then.
In the case of League of Legends, maintaining its programming is no easy task. Still, Riot Games is known for fulfilling their promises to players to "put players at the center of everything" they do.
While Riot has yet to directly address the issue, the in-game message should be enough to tell us what's happening.
The gaming company is "currently working on a resolution" to provide players with a smoother experience playing the game, specifically with Hwei's abilities.
For now, we will have to wait for Riot Games to make an announcement.
There's a chance that the company could compensate their players once more for the unnecessary delay, which they usually do when fixing clash bugs in the game.
