In the finale of The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 1, Belly and Conrad finally kiss and admit what they really feel about each other. From there, it appears that they would finally start being in a relationship.
However, at the start of The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2, we find out that Belly and Conrad have already broken up. We find out through flashbacks that they break up twice, to be exact.

Why Did Belly and Conrad Break Up? Belly and Conrad’s First Break-Up Explained
Jeremiah is the reason for Belly and Conrad’s sudden break-up, as Belly didn’t want to hurt him. Belly reveals to Conrad that Jeremiah admitted that he has feelings for her and that they have kissed a few times.
Conrad thinks that it wouldn’t be a big deal considering that Jeremiah never takes anything too seriously. But Jeremiah doesn’t take this lightly, and he tells Belly that he was just a distraction to keep Belly busy while she waited for Conrad.
Jeremiah also emphasizes the timing considering that his mom has cancer. Later on, Belly tells Conrad that they should hit pause for now.
While Conrad initially disagrees, Belly says that she doesn’t want to make things harder and that Conrad and Jeremiah should be there for each other and their mother.
Belly emphasizes that them being together would make those things impossible. So, Conrad agrees, but he gives Belly the infinity necklace he always wanted to give her.
Belly and Conrad’s Second Break-Up in The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 Explained
After their first break-up at the end of the summer, Conrad calls Belly on the second week of September. From then on, they start having regular phone calls until Conrad visits Belly.
Conrad tells Belly that Jeremiah is doing good and going on dates. He thinks that Jeremiah already moved on, which means that he and Belly could be together now.
Conrad then admits that he doesn’t think he could ever get over Belly and that it’s torture not being able to kiss her. Belly then kisses Conrad.
They begin dating, and they seem to be happy for a while until Conrad starts acting like how we first saw him in Season 1 – distant, pushing everyone away. As Susannah’s health worsens, Conrad becomes detached and distracted.
He forgets the date of the prom, forgets to buy a tux, and forgets the corsage. He apologizes to Belly, but later on, Conrad decides to leave prom early.
Belly tells Conrad not to shut her out, but Conrad responds that he feels like he just keeps disappointing her. Conrad leaves, and Belly goes after him in the rain.
Belly says that they’re over, and Conrad asks Belly not to leave things that way. But Belly responds that Conrad is the one who made things that way. She then returns the infinity necklace Conrad gave her.
Belly cries in Steven’s arms and Conrad drives off. So, Conrad and Belly have broken up for the second time.
Later on, at Susannah’s funeral, Belly wishes to be there for Conrad, but to her surprise, Conrad is lying on his ex-girlfriend Aubrey’s lap. Belly leaves, and Conrad goes after her.
Conrad explains that Aubrey was helping him. Belly responds that he would accept help from Aubrey, but not from her. They say terrible things to each other, and Belly leaves.
Do Belly and Conrad Get Back Together in The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2?
No, Belly and Conrad do not get back together in The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2. In the season two finale, Belly chooses to be with Jeremiah.
Throughout the season, Belly is convinced that things are over between her and Conrad. She then starts having feelings for Jeremiah (again).
While Jeremiah hesitates to pursue a relationship with Belly, the latter insists that there's nothing between her and Conrad anymore. Belly and Jeremiah kiss, and unfortunately, Conrad witnesses this.
Season 2 ends with Belly believing that Conrad no longer cares for her. So, she "evicts" Conrad Fisher from her heart and decides to officially date Jeremiah.
