Why Brienne’s Tribute to Jaime in The Game of Thrones Finale Was Important

The Game of Thrones season finale isn't what many of us were hoping it would be but there were some decent enough moments for fans to enjoy. While many will be ticked off at the final death of this series, others are probably satisfied with the conclusion of certain arcs for some of these characters. One character even ended up detailing the adventure for someone she once hated and eventually loved.

Brienne of Tarth ends up writing the story of Jaime Lannister, who she once fought and made love to. After being knighted by Jaime himself, the two fought alongside each other during the big Battle of Winterfell. Before all of this, Jaime told Brienne that the duty of a Lord Commander is to fill up the pages of the White Book.

In the series finale, Brienne decides to fill up Jaime's entries with his exploits, which is the best thing his character could ask for. There's no doubt in anyone's mind that Jaime was the show's most complex character, changing from a man who pushed a child off a tower to someone who would protect his loved ones no matter what. Then again, some would argue that he's always been selfish and would do anything for love, hence the child pushing.

Game of Thrones has now concluded but reruns will likely air soon and fans can always check it out on HBO. What do you think of Brienne writing about Jaime's exploits? Is he worth it? Let us know in the comments below.
