We got our first official look at Robert Pattinson's Bruce Wayne in a trailer released last month during the DC FanDome event. One of the things that fans couldn't get over with is the actor's emo appearance, sporting a smoky eye makeup look under the cowl.

Arrow star Stephen Amell took notice of Pattinson's look in the trailer as well, joking about how it's key to launching a DC franchise.

Taking to Twitter, Amell endorses Pattinson's Green Arrow-like smokey eyes for The Batman. The actor wrote, "If you wanna launch a DC Franchise that has some legs, the smokey eye look is a good jumping-off point." You can check out his post below!

Fans of Amell would know that this is a tweet that refers to his character. During the hero's earlier days, Amell's Green Arrow also sported grease paint across his eyes that mimic a mask. The actor also makes a good point, with his show getting a total of eight seasons. It's basically the one that started it all, leading to the creation of the Arrowverse, spawning shows such as The Flash,Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Black Lightning, and Batwoman.

Just like how Arrow kicked off the beloved multiverse, Amell thinks The Batman will also be a good start in doing so. Obviously, Amell is joking about how a smoky eye makeup is the key to launching a franchise. That said, he isn't technically wrong. With The Batman set in a different universe from the DCEU and the Gotham PD spinoff show on HBO Max on the way, there's no doubt that the world for Matt Reeves' The Batman is slowly building up.

The CW's Arrow concluded with eight seasons earlier this year, while The Batman is set for release on October 1, 2021.
