Who Is Kaiman in Dorohedoro?
Kaiman is the main protagonist of Dorohedoro. He is a human born in the Hole with a unique immunity to magic.
It is stated that Kaiman is not his real name, but a moniker given to him by his best friend, Nikaido. Kaiman lost his memory after he transformed into a lizard man.
While Kaiman still possesses his human form, the profound impact of a Magic User changed his facial and cranial features.
Resembling a Paraguayan Caiman Lizard, his once ordinary hair has been replaced by lengthy, razor-sharped spikes.
Adorned with red cross marks encircling his eyes, he opts for a gas mask as his distinctive facial covering.
Kaiman views Magic Users as despicable beings and kills them instantly after interrogation, displaying no remorse.
His intense hatred drives him to contemplate initiating a widespread massacre within their world, all in pursuit of the individual responsible for his lizard head.
Also, it is important to note that Ai Coleman is the true personality of Kaiman, Kai, and Aikawa.

Who Turned Kaiman Into a Lizard in Dorohedoro?
A Magic User’s curse transforms him into a lizard-headed being, and his primary objective is to find the individual responsible for the curse and restore his original appearance.
However, as he is unable to remember the real identity of the sorcerer, Kaiman adopts the unconventional method of clamping his mouth around every sorcerer he encounters.
He allows them to briefly meet the mysterious figure inside his mouth before taking them out and asking them – “What was the message from the guy inside my mouth?”
It is later revealed that Ebisu is the one who turned Kaiman into a lizard in Dorohedoro.
Upon Ebisu’s death, in a faraway location, the spell causing Kaiman’s lizard head was broken, restoring him to his original state.
This conclusive event confirmed that Ebisu was responsible for his reptilian transformation.
In Dorohedoro, Ebisu is depicted as an expert in Reptile Transformation. Ebisu’s magical abilities induce a mutagenic effect, transforming individuals into lizards or lizard-like beings.
